“Be still when you have nothing to say; when genuine passion moves you, say what you’ve got to say and say it hot.”
-D.H. Lawrence

Ekua’s approach to updating this site is similar to her approach to travel—it’s spontaneous and unconfined. While there is no set schedule or super-specific travel niche attached to this blog, the one guarantee is that each post will be driven by passion, candidness, and an openness to all aspects of travel—the beautiful, the ugly and everything in between.

Regular topics on this site include:

»Photography
» Female Travel: Girl, Unstoppable regularly features posts that aim to help and inspire the female traveler let out their inner audacious adventurer.
» Songs for the Road: After obtaining a Bachelor of Music degree, working at music non-profits, and even spending a summer touring Europe and the Western U.S. as a backup singer, it’s safe to say that Ekua is passionate about music. In the “Songs for the Road” series, she writes about the intersection of music and travel and shares some of her favorite tunes and the (travel) stories behind them.
» Wanderful Words: This series provides bits of travel and life inspiration in the form of “Wanderful Words” of others.

Hi Ekua! I’m so glad to find your blog and read about India…I’ll be leaving for a two week trip in two days and will be by myself part time and with another woman part of the time. We’re going to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, and Bombay.
I’ve been pretty nervous about the whole thing but reading your blog has actually made me feel better — your honesty about all your experiences is refreshing and I feel like I can trust what you say, no sugar-coating and no fear-mongering at the same time. So thank you!
And I hope you continue to have amazing and safe travel experiences.

Thanks! I really wanted to present a balanced view of my experiences there. Like you, finding honest stories about places I want to visit helps make me feel more informed and confident when I get there. I’ve definitely kept that in mind throughout my India updates!
